Baby Naming CeremoniesThis is a moment of pausing, a chosen moment. In this moment we celebrate a new life among us and we commit ourselves to this child’s love and care. In this ceremony we offer the new child our blessing for their life’s journey, and we will give him or her a name. If you wish, I can include grandparents and siblings in the ceremony.Another special and unique step in a naming ceremony involves Godparents. In civil ceremonies we mostly refer to these special people as “guardians.”The guardians have a special task - they promise to take a lifelong interest in the child, whilst offering loving support and encouragement, wisdom and guidance and of course, being there through all the important stages of the child’s development. They will also assist in working through the challenges as well as celebrating the joys in their lives. I provide certificates for the person being named and the Godparents or guardians.Other Naming CeremoniesApart from baby naming ceremonies, I offer professional and meaningful naming ceremonies for many other occasions. These ceremonies are secular or non-denominational and can include building naming, boat naming, pet naming or almost anything else that you may like to have officially named. I provide a carefully prepared and totally personal ceremony and I will offer some helpful suggestions for your special occasion.
